Petal is feeling proud!

2mins has been named runner-up in the Best Fintech/AI by a For Profit Organisation category at the Money Awareness & Inclusion Awards (MAIAs) 2026.

For those unfamiliar with the MAIAs, they’re known as the “Oscars of Financial Literacy”. Every year they recognise organisations from around the world that are helping people better understand and manage their money.

This year’s awards attracted a record number of entries, with winners ranging from pension projects in Kenya to anti-scam games in the United States and AI-powered money coaching platforms in the UK.

For 2mins to be recognised amongst such incredible organisations is a huge moment!

Why did 2mins stand out?

Because we do things a little differently.

While much of the financial world communicates through lengthy PDFs, stock photos of serious folk and enough jargon to make your mind explode, 2mins took a different route, by making learning about money actually enjoyable!

Our quirky herd of animal characters deliver fun lessons through a bonkers storytelling and games. It might sound a little ridiculous, and that’s kind of the point! To make these complex topics feel memorable and genuinely stick.

A huge thank you

As a very early-stage company, recognition like this means the world.

2mins was built on the belief that financial education doesn’t have to be intimidating to be effective. In fact, we think making people smile might be one of the most powerful educational tools there is.

So thank you to the MAIAs judges for recognising our work. Thank you to everyone who has downloaded the app, played a game, shared a post, or cheered us on. And thank you to Petal, who has been busy polishing our new silverware.
