2mins is incredibly proud to have won Best UK Content at the 2026 UK Gala Awards for Financial Capability, widely regarded as the “Oscars of Financial Education.”

Hosted by the London Foundation for Banking & Finance (LFBF) in partnership with the Money Awareness and Inclusion Awards (MAIAs), the event took place on 30 June at the Guildhall in the City of London.

The award recognises our mission to make financial education fun through bite-sized games that help people build confidence with money.

Our co-founders, Chris and Emily Boxall, were present to collect the trophy and Emily even delivered an impromptu acceptance speech (she was feeling grateful to have attended a public speaking workshop just a month earlier!).

The evening celebrated organisations working tirelessly to improve financial capability across the UK, recognising innovative ideas that are helping people build the money skills they need for modern life.

The judges said:

Exciting and fun initiative. 2mins is like baby bear’s porridge – just right.

Emily said:

This is a huge moment for 2mins and a fantastic platform to speak about our mission: to inject finance with fun!

For a small team so early in our journey, the evening felt like a real “hey look Mum we made it” moment, emphasised by the fact Emily’s mum was also in attendance and telling absolutely everyone about her 47 day 2mins streak!

Thank you to the LFBF and the MAIAs for this recognition. We are at just the start of our journey with 2mins, but are more excited than ever about what’s to come!

If you’d like to see what the judges loved, why not download 2mins and try a few games for yourself?
